Eminence Baptist Church is a community of believers made up of many different individuals and families from all different walks of life.  Many of which, have been lifelong fixtures in both the church and community, and who are passionate about serving Eminence.  We, as a local church, seek to meet the spiritual, practical, and emotional needs of our community, and long to be a haven of goodness and a refuge of safety for you.  We come to worship on Sunday mornings, ready to fellowship with each other, lifting up prayer needs for our church and community, and also to get filled with the mercy and grace of Jesus Christ for another week.  If you're looking for a place for your child or teenager, Eminence Baptist makes a conscious effort to provide a safe place for them on Sunday mornings, and especially on Wednesday nights.  Our Wednesday evenings are completely dedicated to ministering to the needs of our children and youth.  We provide a warm meal for them at 6 p.m. and Bible teaching from 6:30-7:30 p.m.  If you're interesting in coming and checking us out, feel free to anytime!  We love you and you are always welcome at Eminence Baptist Church.

What We Believe:

  • We believe that God is the Creator and Sustainer of all that is.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and through Him all people may know God’s grace, experience salvation, and discover their true identity as persons created in the image of God.
  • We believe that the Holy Spirit is the abiding presence of God and is present for all people, forever drawing them toward faith in Jesus Christ and service to God through worship and ministry within the world.
  • We believe the Bible is the written word of God and is “inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work” (II Timothy 3:16-17, NRSV).
  • We believe that the church was established by Jesus and is made up of those persons who have declared their faith in Jesus Christ through the profession of their faith and their commitment to be His disciples in the world and have followed His instruction to be baptized.
  • We believe that Communion (the Lord’s Supper) was instituted by Jesus and given to the church as an act through which they are to remember His life, ministry, death, and resurrection.
  • We believe that the church’s ministry is to make disciples and be involved in service both in our local community and beyond.
